What The Data Means

Owners and executives are missing out on harnessing the full might of their teams.

Leadership candidate evaluation is distorted – and outdated.

There is a scarcity of legitimate leadership education – and therefore, it's hard to find great leaders.

...And Why It Matters

Great leaders build healthy work cultures, motivating and inspiring employees, increasing productivity, collaboration, and innovation. Happy employees elevate the guest experience, and by extension, the financial performance of any business.

Exposure to practical models that actually develop leaders and maximize the performance of teams is still rare. This is unfortunate, because each interaction our team members have with our clientele is financially meaningful and brand determining.

Why Teams Win

They connect, because their values and standards prioritize people skills over technical skills.

They keep getting better, because they understand the relationship between professional empowerment and personal enrichment.

They've tasted failure,
and they're ready to change for the better.

They're willing to learn, because their hiring practices prioritize reliability and coachability over experience.

Core Tenets

1

PERMISSION TO WANT THE BEST.

Hospitality and sales are the best forms of education on the planet. Develop confidence, resilience, leadership skills, personal presentation – and get paid for it.

2

PERMISSION TO SEE THE FUTURE.

No matter what we want to do in the future, it will require a “yes” from someone. The more we engage with the first Core Tenet, the more likely we'll get that “yes”.

3

PERMISSION TO PLAY.

This is not a job – this is a game. Score points. As a matter of fact, dunk. Also, this is not a job – this is an acting class... and we're getting paid for it.

Healthy Work Culture.png

A happy team is easier to retain and less prone to burnout than an unhappy team, limiting turnover and the associated costs. A productive workforce that can collaborate effectively and freely, contributing fresh ideas to improve their surroundings, produces better financial outcomes for the organization. But because work culture is difficult to quantify, it is often discounted as a “soft” metric, completely unrelated to a business’ bottom line.

In reality, the health of a work culture can make or break an organization’s reputation and finances. A healthy work culture is one in which employees feel safe, valued, and heard, where there are opportunities to grow professionally and personally, and where excellence is acknowledged and rewarded. However, a toxic work culture – where employees feel micromanaged, belittled, unheard, mistrusted by management, distrustful of one another – will only drain an organization of its talent.

There’s no doubt that happy employees provide better service. By their mere presence, happy employees create an environment that is palpably pleasant and welcoming, improving guest satisfaction so they stay longer, spend more, and are more likely to return in the future.

Testimonials

Even with years of experience running a successful business, leadership training has been necessary to take things to the next level. Not only have I streamlined operations, but I have also been able to help my staff understand why they should care about the big picture and how their responsibilities benefit them personally. The result has been an exponential boost in staff morale, productivity, client experience, and of course, the bottomline. Most importantly, this leadership training has helped me develop myself in such a way that no other method has – I’ve become more decisive and discerning.

— L.Y., Business Executive

I cannot say enough about the positives of training under the Sacred Guest philosophy. It imparts a unique leadership that combines both traditional and contemporary approaches for creating a dynamic work culture. It encourages team members to strive to reach their maximum potential, which naturally produces a winning team. Behind Adhi’s playful facade lies a gentle – but powerful – motivator and communicator. He goes beyond the superficial and expresses genuine leadership qualities with compassion to all ages. My time working with him was short, but I am left with a lifetime worth of self-discovery and renewed purpose.

— A.H., Guest Relations

I can’t imagine how the trajectory of my life might have gone without coming into contact with people who understand how authentic leadership really works. Despite my diverse professional experience – from the fashion and lighting design industries to restaurants and hospitality – I unfortunately have encountered very few managers who know how to lead, inspire teams, or clearly identify priorities. Sacred Guest leadership programs have shown me, real-time, how businesses and teams ought to operate, and as a result, how much more fulfilling work can be.
